Aaron Sanchez To Return Tuesday, Could Move To Bullpen
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez (biceps, finger) will return to the team on Tuesday after being sidelined since the beginning of May, according to Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle. Sanchez looked good over five starts in April, and even with a poor showing in his last outing prior to the injury, he's 1-1 with a 3.18 ERA, 1.200 WHIP and 19.7 percent strikeout rate over 28 1/3 innings of work. Slusser reports though that it seems more likely Sanchez will be used out of the bullpen instead of sliding back into the rotation, as manager Gabe Kapler said that he felt good about how the rotation looked currently. It's possible that he could be a solid play in SV/HLD formats, but it will definitely be an overall drop in his value if he remains in the bullpen.
