Aaron Slegers Picks Up First Career Win
6 years agoMinnesota Twins right-hander Aaron Slegers picked up his first MLB win on Thursday as he held the Baltimore Orioles to one run over six innings of work. Slegers struck out two and walked one in the ballgame. The Twins recalled Slegers to make a spot start, so he is expected to be optioned back to Triple-A Rochester following the strong outing. Slegers has shown some promise in his two starts this season, posting a 2.38 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 11 1/3 innings of work. Expect Slegers to get a longer look after the trade deadline, as the Twins will be selling off veteran pieces.
