3 years agoUpdating a previous report, Kansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (knee) left the game early on Tuesday against the Chicago White Sox with left knee discomfort. Mondesi was injured in the sixth inning while diving back to first base on a pickoff attempt and was removed for a pinch-runner. As of right now, fantasy managers should consider the 26-year-old day-to-day, but the Royals will likely re-evaluate him further on Wednesday. Mondesi had a hit and an RBI in three plate appearances in the game before departing, and he's now hitting just .140 with seven hits, no home runs, three RBI and five stolen bases in his first 54 plate appearances of the season. He's an excellent stolen base asset, but injuries have kept him from reaching his full potential.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
