4 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment on Thursday with Double-A Northwest Arkansas, according to Lynn Worthy of the Kansas City Star. Mondesi has been out since Spring Training with an oblique strain, and had just recently begun swinging a bat again. It's a good sign that Mondesi could be back in Kansas City in the near future, and managers should prepare for the speedy shortstop to return potentially within the next week and a half to two weeks.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
