6 years agoWith the eighth pick in the 2018 NHL Draft, the Chicago Blackhawks have selected Adam Boqvist out of Brynas IF in the SHL. Boqvist, who weighs in at six-foot and 165 pounds, is described as an offensively-talented defenseman with an excellent skating ability as well as a solid playmaking ability. He has evidently modeled his game after Erik Karlsson and looks to be a top offensive defenseman in the NHL if he pans out. Only weighing 165 pounds, though, he's certainly not ready to enter the NHL just yet for the Blackhawks and looks to be more of a two- to three-year project in which he can add weight and master his skills. He should not be drafted in any standard redraft formats.--Caden Inaba
