4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Adam Eaton will receive Friday evening off with the White Sox set to do battle versus left-hander Jordan Montgomery. Eaton started the season on a high note, but it has been all downhill since. Eaton has been hitting a weak .164 over the last month with one home run and nine RBI. The veteran has been sitting regularly versus left-handed pitching and despite being in a prime spot in a strong offense, Eaton doesn't offer much upside. Eaton will be replaced by utility man Danny Mendick. Mendick will bat ninth and is mired in a 3-for-21 slump at the moment. He can be avoided in all formats at the time.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
