3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Adam Engel (hamstring) was officially activated from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday. Adam Eaton was designated for assignment in a corresponding move. According to manager Tony La Russa, Engel will return to the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins after being sidelined since June 20 with a hamstring strain. The 29-year-old has been limited to 10 games this season due to injuries. He was off to a strong start before landing on the shelf, slashing .241/.313/.552 with three home runs, four RBI, five runs scored, and one stolen base across 32 plate appearances.
