4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Adam Engel (hamstring) is expected to start the season on the injured list, reports Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun Times. Manager Tony La Russa said that Engel will be out "at least a couple of weeks" with a strained right hamstring that he suffered on Saturday while making a throw home on a sacrifice fly. Engel was set to be the team's fourth outfielder, but he has shown some pop and speed in limited playing time that can be useful in deeper leagues. The White Sox will likely rely more heavily on Leury Garcia to fill that fourth outfielder role while Engel is out.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
