6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates second baseman Adam Frazier has been mashing his way through his first full week of spring training. Over just 16 at-bats, the 27-year-old has five hits, including two doubles and two home runs, while driving in five and scoring three times. It's expected that he will be the lead-off hitter for the Pirates in 2019, while also earning his first full-time starting job at second base. With just under 1,000 career plate appearances, Frazier has a .280 career average and .345 OBP, so there is certainly ability with the bat. Although, he's nothing more than an NL-only option at the moment, but with consistent playing time he could become more valuable as the year progresses.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
