6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Adam Haseley got his first career hit Wednesday in San Diego. Haseley had an RBI double in the eighth inning off Craig Stammen to give the Phillies a lead they wouldn't relinquish. The youngster is now 1-for-8 in his major league career. He was tearing up Triple-A pitching to the tune of a .320 batting average with a .470 slugging percentage but he did have plate discipline concerns. In Triple-A he struck out 25.9 percent of the time with only a 3.7 walk rate which Major League pitchers are sure to take advantage of. On top of that, there is a logjam in the Phillies outfield with Haseley, Jay Bruce, and Scott Kingery competing for two spots. He's worth a flier in deep leagues but expectations should be kept in check.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
