Adam Haseley Goes Hitless In Return To Lineup
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Adam Haseley (groin) went 0-for-3 as the leadoff hitter in his return to Grapefruit League play. Haseley is competing with Roman Quinn, Scott Kingery, and Odubel Herrera for the starting center field job. A groin injury kept Haseley out of the lineup for three weeks, but no one else ran away with the job so the 24-year-old will have a chance to prove himself in the last week of camp. Haseley has shown almost nothing in the Majors with a career with a .269 batting average and five homers in 107 Big League games spanning 2019 and 2020. He had solid numbers in the minors, however, and could be a late-round source of batting average in deep leagues if he wins the role.
