Adam Jones Plays Defense In Intrasquad Game
6 years agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Adam Jones was able to play in the field for the first time since joining his new teammates. He played in the outfield during an intrasquad game on a backfield Sunday, and it was his third consecutive day of taking at-bats in a game. Manager Torey Lovullo said Jones will do some work in the trainer's room on the team's scheduled off day Monday, and that the veteran is expected to make his Cactus League spring debut on Tuesday. He is expected to serve as the team's primary center fielder, so he'll be a nice play in NL-only fantasy leagues and some mixed formats.
