Adam Ottavino Records Sixth Save Friday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Adam Ottavino pitched the bottom of the 10th inning Friday against the Oakland Athletics, allowing one hit on route to his sixth save of the year. As long as Matt Barnes is around, Ottavino will always be the second choice in save situations, but should an injury arise, he would clearly be the man for the job. In the meantime, he's pitched to a 2.65 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 39 strikeouts in 34 innings while collecting 15 holds. That's roster-worthy in many formats.
