4 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Adam Ottavino was absolutely dominant on Saturday, striking out the side on just 12 pitches in the Red Sox's 7-3 win over the Chicago White Sox. Ottavino had been shaky in his first few outings with the club, allowing four runs in his first 3 2/3 innings while walking three. This outing, however, was vintage Ottavino. He had sharp command of his mid-90s fastball and was freezing hitters with his big, sweeping slider. Ottavino's strikeout rates and hit prevention still put him among the best relievers in the game, and if his command catches up, he will be very hard to score on.--Daniel Fox
