4 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles acquired pitcher Adam Plutko from the Cleveland Indians for cash considerations on Saturday, according to Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com. Coming off a down year in 2020 where he posted a 4.88 ERA and 12.9 percent strikeout rate in 27 2/3 innings, Plutko has looked slightly better this spring with a 26.8 percent strikeout rate in nine innings of work. He's still allowing too many baserunners however, as he has surrendered five runs on 12 hits and two walks this spring. Plutko can have good outings, but they come inconsistently, which makes him at best a streaming option in deeper-mixed and AL-only leagues.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
