5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright was forced from Sunday's start early against the Cubs with left hamstring tightness. He left the game with one out in the fifth as the Cubs were rallying with two runs in the frame. Wainwright finished his line giving up three runs with a walk and a pair of strikeouts with the team trailing 3-1. We should know more about the injury post game as the Cardinals will update the severity post game in all likelihood. Wainwright is tentatively slated to face the Mets in New York on Friday in what would be a favorable matchup but stay tuned for more info.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
