7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (elbow) is scheduled to play catch on Monday and Tuesday and then will throw a bullpen session on Wednesday assuming everything goes well. The team will then be able to evaluate the veteran righty to see when he'll be able to rejoin the rotation. Rookie Jack Flaherty took Wainwright's past start, but off days on the upcoming schedule will keep the Cardinals from needing a fifth starter for a while. Wainwright is dealing with an elbow injury, but was only expected to miss two starts when he was originally placed on the disabled list.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
