3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright threw seven strong innings in Wednesday's game against the Chicago Cubs. In his seven innings of work, Wainwright allowed just one run on six hits. He struck out five and did not issue a walk. The Cardinals did eventually win this game, but when Wainwright exited they did not have the lead, so he was unable to earn a win. He did record a quality start and dropped his ERA to 3.56 though. Wainwright is having a very good season and could be a very low cost addition to a contending team in mixed fantasy leagues.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
