2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright turned in a nice rebound start in Monday's 9-0 win over the Marlins. Wainwright pitched 7 innings, allowing seven hits and a walk with nine strikeouts. The veteran has been a reliable fantasy starter overall once again this season, going 6-5 with a 3.07 ERA, 7.52 K/9 rate, and 2.57 BB/9 rate over 15 starts and 91 IP. The strikeout rate may not be all that impressive, but the number of innings Wainwright pitches allows him to contribute in that counting category even in roto leagues. Waino will look to turn in another strong start in a tougher matchup at the Phillies.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
