7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright said he'd like to keep playing in 2019. "I want to see how things end," Wainwright said. "But it would be really surprising to me if I came out and said I’m retiring." Waino is expected to throw a bullpen session this week as he recovers from an elbow injury. The 36-year-old hasn't pitched since May 13 and has made just four starts this season. He won't be much of a fantasy option in mixed leagues when he returns to the rotation, and he could pitch out of the bullpen if he continues playing past 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
