6 years agoChicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell has had his administrative leave extended through Sunday. Russell was placed on administrative leave after accusations of physical and mental abuse against his ex-wife emerged. It is unlikely that Russell will be on the Cubs playoff roster or ever suit up for the club again if the accusations are proven factual. It is likely that Russell receives a suspension going into next year and his career is currently up in the air after a rough season offensively to go along with the serious accusations.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
