Adin Hill Avoids Arbitration and Signs Two-Year Deal with San Jose
3 years agoAdin Hill avoided arbitration as he inked a two-year contract with the San Jose Sharks on Wednesday night. The contract will pay him an average AAV of $2.175 million. The salary is the same each season. Hill expects to challenge for the number one spot in goal for the Sharks. The former Arizona Coyotes goaltender played in 32 games the last two seasons producing a 2.7 goals-against average and .915 save percentage. Hill will be given every chance to take the reins in San Jose as James Reimer (also newly signed) backs up the young 25-year-old goaltender. San Jose was desperate for a more athletic goaltender over Martin Jones and Hill could provide some upside in deeper leagues especially come October.
