Adolis Garcia Continues To Make Presence Felt
4 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Adolis Garcia continued his strong play on Monday night and has been a revelation for the club since being recalled from the alternate training site. The 28-year-old rookie out of Cuba slugged his second home run of the season during the club's 6-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Garcia also added a double and scored two runs. Through seven games, he's hitting just .241 with a BB-K of 0-9 but four of his seven hits have gone for extra bases. He'll need to curb his aggressive nature to avoid having pitchers exploit his swing-happy nature but he's produced an excellent barrel rate (20%) and could see his home run prowess increase as he works on improving his launch angle (5.5 degrees).
