Adrian Houser Could Return To Rotation This Weekend
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Adrian Houser (COVID-19) is feeling better and could return to the rotation this weekend, according to Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. Houser has been on the COVID-19 injured list since August 6 after testing positive for COVID-19, and McCalvy reports that Josh Hader had delivered a net to Houser's house, allowing Houser to keep his arm in shape while recovering. It's possible that he could be able to return to action and start at some point this weekend against the Nationals. Houser has been having a solid year on the mound, going 7-5 with a 3.55 ERA, 1.327 WHIP and 18.1 percent strikeout rate over 104 innings of work. Managers should keep an eye out for updates on his condition heading into this weekend, and be prepared to slot him back into the lineup upon his activation.
