5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Adrian Houser (thumb) left Monday's game after some minor thumb tightness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. Houser was scheduled to toss three innings but exited after 2 1/3 innings. General manager David Stearns also suggested that Houser had reached a pitch-count limit and didn't want to push it. While the injury appears relatively minor, it is worth monitoring going forward. Houser was stellar over his last 10 starts in 2019, posting a 3.02 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 9.8 K/9. If he can avoid missing any significant time, he should slot into the middle of the Brewers rotation to begin the year. He's a sneaky sleeper pick in 2020.--James Stokke
