Adrian Peterson A Non-Factor Against Buccaneers
4 years agoDetroit Lions running back Adrian Peterson carried the ball four times for 10 yards in the Lions 47-7 loss to the Buccaneers in Week 16. Peterson was a non-factor as the Lions got down multiple scores early in this brutal blowout defeat. Peterson began the season as the starting running back but his touches have been in swift decline over the last two months with the emergence of rookie running back D'Andre Swift. The veteran runner is averaging only 7.6 carries over his last nine games heading into the final week of the season. Peterson will finish up the year next week against his former team, the Vikings, and will enter action with 541 rushing yards and six touchdowns.
