Adrian Peterson Comes Up Big Against Green Bay
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson racked up 120 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries against the Packers. A 41-yard scamper helped pad his overall numbers, but the 6.3 yards per carry average is encouraging as Peterson seeks to make the most of the chance he's been given to lead Washington's backfield. Not surprisingly, Peterson's two excellent fantasy outings so far have come in games in which the Redskins took early leads and relied heavily on the ground game the rest of the way. He's carried the ball 45 times in Washington's two victories, as opposed to just 11 times in the team's one loss. As such, his fantasy value going forward is largely dependent on game script due to his lack of involvement in the passing game.
