4 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson said he hopes to play four more years in the NFL. Peterson, who turned 35 in March, rushed for 898 yards and five touchdowns while averaging 4.3 yards per carry in 15 games. Peterson is 4,139 yards away from breaking Emmitt Smith's all-time rushing record, but he would need to average over 1,000 more yards per season to reach Smith's mark. With Derrius Guice and Antonio Gibson each in line for carries, it will be tough for Peterson to reach that mark this season, let alone be a dependable fantasy starter. Peterson has shown flashes of his old self, but he shouldn't be relied on as a starter in fantasy leagues.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
