Adrian Peterson Poised To Move Up On Rushing List
6 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson is looking to have a big day versus the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1. What Peterson really wants to do is get off to a great start so he can vault into the top 10 on the NFL's all-time rushing list. He needs just 37 yards to surpass past both Marshall Faulk and Jim Brown, currently 12th and 11th respectively, on the list. “God willing, on my first run, I can go ahead and break it,” Peterson told Sirius XM NFL Radio. The 33-year-old has accumulated just 601 yards on the ground over the last two seasons combined, although he did have two 100-yard games in 2017. He is expected to receive a heavy workload against a ripe Cardinals defense. Peterson is a solid RB3/flex option in standard-scoring leagues.
