5 years agoWashington Redskins running back Adrian Peterson rushed for only 37 yards on 12 carries in the loss to Chicago on Monday night. With the Bears Defense doing its thing, the veteran had trouble getting anything going while also splitting carries with Chris Thompson, who ran for an equally unimpressive 29 yards on seven attempts. After being a healthy scratch in Week 1, Peterson will likely continue to fill in for Derrius Guice (knee), who is expected to be out for up to eight weeks; however, his long-term appeal doesn't look promising at the moment. Continue to monitor Peterson's progress in the weeks ahead, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect much from the 34-year-old moving forward.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
