Albert Pujols Has Big Game
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals first baseman Albert Pujols saw a rare start against a right-handed pitcher on Sunday. The 42-year-old has heavily struggled with the bat, but came up with a huge performance here. Pujols went 3-for-4 with a home run to help his team get the 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies. His homer, the 684th of his career, was his first since May 18. Most importantly, it was his 1,377th extra-base hit, tying him with Stan Musial for third all-time. Pujols also started the tiebreaking rally in the eighth inning with a single. Fantasy managers aren't going to see many more performances like this from Pujols. Although, this was a nice moment for the future Hall of Famer.
