7 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols (elbow, knee), who just had knee surgery, will also have surgery on Wednesday to remove bone spurs from his right elbow. He will receive an injection for tendinitis in his left elbow on Friday. Father Time has officially caught up to the 38-year-old Pujols, although he should be ready to go in time for spring training next year. The man formerly known as the Machine hit just .245/.289/.411 in 2018, but he did have 19 home runs and 64 RBI in 117 games. You can no longer count on him to play a full season, and he won't help you in average or on-base percentage, but Pujols can be a deep mixed or AL-only option for his power alone.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
