Alcides Escobar Swipes A Bag Against Atlanta
3 years agoWashington Nationals shortstop Alcides Escobar stole his second base of the year Thursday against the Atlanta Braves. He also went 1-for-5 at the plate. Escobar doesn't add much offensively, but he's had a good last seven games, slashing .276/.333/.517 over that stretch. The best thing going for him is his spot in the lineup, batting second in front of Juan Soto and Josh Bell, but he shouldn't be on rosters except in the deepest of formats, and even then there's no need to rush to the waiver wire.
