Alec Bohm Collects Two Hits Versus Cardinals
4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored in a loss to the Cardinals on Thursday. Bohm has struggled at the plate this season as he's batting just .216 with a .255 on-base percentage through 98 PA. Amid the rough numbers, however, there are some encouraging signs for Bohm. The 24-year-old has an expected batting average of .265 as he's sporting a hard-hit rate over 50 percent and a strong 92.3 MPH average exit velocity. Bohm is hitting the ball hard and occupies a prime slot in the Phillies lineup. Stick with the sophomore third baseman for a weekend series with the Mets where Philly will avoid facing Jacob deGrom.
