3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies third baseman Alec Bohm (COVID-19) has been reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list, according to Todd Zolecki of MLB.com. There had been reports earlier in the day Friday that Bohm would start a rehab assignment at Triple-A within the next few days, but apparently it has since been decided that a rehab assignment was not necessary after all. Bohm has been out since before the All-Star break due to a positive COVID-19 test, but the Phillies said that he was asymptomatic. To open space for Bohm on the roster, the team optioned pitcher Mauricio Llovera to Triple-A. Bohm will look for a better performance in the second half of the season after slashing .243/.298/.343 with six homers, four steals, 41 RBI and 38 runs scored over 85 games so far.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
