4 years agoChicago Cubs starting pitcher Alec Mills recovered from his worst outing of the season by picking up his third victory of the season on Monday versus the Detroit Tigers. Mills was sharp through seven innings and allowed seven hits, three runs, one walk and recorded seven strikeouts. Mills will remain in the rotation with the news that Jose Quintana (thumb) will return to the Cubs on Tuesday and be in the bullpen. The Cubs seem confident in Mills and his spot in the rotation looks safe for now. Mills will look to keep it going against the Reds on Sunday.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
