Aledmys Diaz Dealing With Thumb Injury
2 years agoHouston Astros utility man Aledmys Diaz (thumb) was out of Friday's lineup due to a thumb injury he sustained in an outfield collision on Thursday. "It's negative; no broken bones or anything," manager Dusty Baker said of Díaz's finger. "He might be available to pinch hit later, but [he'll] probably be more available [Saturday]." Fantasy managers should consider Diaz day-to-day. The 32-year-old veteran infielder has been swinging a hot bat lately and is slashing .251/.309/.414 with nine home runs, 26 RBI, 29 runs scored and one stolen base in 227 at-bats for Houston in 2022. Diaz is useful for infield depth in deeper fantasy leagues.
