Aledmys Diaz Exits Saturday Early With Shoulder Injury
2 years agoHouston Astros infielder Aledmys Diaz (shoulder) was removed from Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox due to left shoulder discomfort. He went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being replaced in the game. The 31-year-old is considered day-to-day. Diaz was replaced in the at shortstop by Mauricio Dubon. Houston finds themselves suddenly thin at the position with Jeremy Pena (thumb) on the 10-day injured list and Diaz now sidelined. Dubon would see an uptick in playing time with both Pena and Diaz out. The 27-year-old is a speculative add in deep-league formats after slashing .215/.235/.329 across 86 plate appearances in 2022.
