7 years agoOn a night where star third baseman Josh Donaldson was getting a breather, the Toronto Blue Jays offense was clearly not going to be up to snuff. They may have lost 5-3 to the Baltimore Orioles, but shortstop Aledmys Diaz did his part to keep them afloat. Diaz finished 1-for-4 with a home run, his third of the season. He currently sits tied for the team lead in that category with Donaldson and outfielder Steve Pearce. After dealing with back spasms a week ago, Diaz has been back in the lineup the last five games without much production until Wednesday. Hopefully, this is the start of better things to come for the 27-year-old.--John Smith
