3 years agoAlex Bowman is right around the Round of 12 bubble. He needs a very good result to avoid elimination. The crazy thing is Bowman has never led a lap on the Bristol track when it has been an asphalt course. Yet, there is something about this third race of the playoff chase that makes one ponder Bowman as a potential contender. There is this weird sense that the No. 48 car just saves his best for the unexpected. That is how Bowman won at Richmond earlier in the year for example. The Hendricks car is usually quite good but again Bowman had an unexpected pit stop which derailed his chances last time out. One just never knows what Alex Bowman can do.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
