Alex Bowman Is Risky Play From Pole Position
4 years agoHendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman is on the pole for Sunday's Daytona 500. Usually, a pole position is a good thing when it comes to fantasy, as it signals that a driver has a fast car and can lead some early laps. But at superspeedway tracks like Daytona, the threat of a big accident introduces far more risk than usual into the pole winner's race. Add to that that Bowman had issues in his Duel race and you get a scary combination with this 48 team. His ceiling is high, but he's a fairly risky play, though the fact that Bowman has never had a DNF at Daytona does seem to be a nice positive.
