Alex Bowman Looking For Daytona 500 Success
3 years agoAlex Bowman qualified second on the front row with Hendrick Motorsports teammate Kyle Larson earlier in the week. Bowman's biggest problem is turning these excellent qualifying efforts into sustained success during the Daytona 500. Last year, Bowman was caught in the "Early Big One" and he finished 35th. His best finished in the 200 lap race was 11th in 2019. Bowman has not cracked the top ten once. It is again why team tactics are reigning heavily. Hendrick cars spent the most recent practice session drafting to recreate longer run scenarios. If the No. 48 car can stay on the track, Bowman can stay closer to the front.
