Alex Bregman A Risky DFS Play After Struggles Against A's

4 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman will be one of the premier DFS targets during the ALDS, which is set to begin Monday. He faces off against an Oakland pitching staff that held him to a slash line of .095/.174/.143 in 23 plate appearances during the regular season. Granted, being on a downturn against the A’s is new for Bregman, who owns a .942 career OPS against the club, but many of the arms that he’ll face will either be fairly new to him (Jesus Luzardo) or ones that he has struggled against (Frankie Montas, 3-for-15). At Bregman’s high price tag, fantasy managers may be best served looking elsewhere for production, especially after hitting just .221 away from Minute Maid Park this year.--Jesse Borek
