6 years agoHouston Astros infielder Alex Bregman heads into the All-Star game as the hottest hitter in the Astros lineup. The first-time All-Star has 22 extra-base hits (11 doubles, 11 home runs) over his last 28 games played and is slashing .351/.430/.748 during that span. He finished up the first half strong, posting three home runs and seven runs batted in over his last seven games. The sky is the limit for the 24-year-old heading into the second half of the season and really took his game to another level post All-Star break in 2017. In 71 games last season after the midsummer classic, Bregman slashed .315/.367/.536 with four triples, 11 home runs, 18 doubles, 44 runs batted in and 48 runs scored.
