5 years agoHouston Astros shortstop Alex Bregman has cooled off a touch over the last seven days, hitting only .222 over his last 18 at-bats heading into Saturday's action. This comes on the heels of an absolutely blistering streak of production on offense and still is slashing .350/.469/.675 in the month of September. It merely has been a quiet series for him against the A's but now can turn that around against the Royals. Bregman is making a late case for MVP and is slashing .294/.416/.573 with 34 doubles, 35 home runs, 103 runs batted in and 111 runs scored through 513 at-bats this season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
