6 years agoHouston Astros infielder Alex Bregman went 2-for-3 on Wednesday, including an RBI walk and his 43rd double of the season. Bregman has been on fire lately at the plate and now trails the Diamondbacks Eduardo Escobar by one for the Major League lead in doubles this season. The rising star extended his hitting streak to 10 games and is hitting an astounding .475 (19-for-40) during the streak with two home runs, five doubles and 11 runs batted in. Astros players like Jose Altuve, George Springer and Carlos Correa get a lot of publicity, but Bregman has been the most important offensive force for Houston in 2018.--Joey C - RotoBaller
