3 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (quad) said he expects to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land within "the next day or two," according to Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle. Bregman has been sidelined for nearly a month and a half now with a strained quadriceps, and he had reportedly been close to a rehab assignment earlier this month but so far has not begun one. Hopefully Bregman will actually get to start the rehab assignment this week, as managers anxiously await the return of his bat to their lineup after his start to the season where he's hitting .275 with a .787 OPS, seven homers, 34 RBI and 37 runs scored across 59 games.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
