3 years agoHouston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (quad) will miss at least a couple weeks with a left quad strain, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com. Manager Dusty Baker said that Bregman will be out, "at least two to three weeks or more," and added that, "These things don't heal that quickly. I won't have any reports for you for a couple of weeks." This is the first report we've heard of a timetable for Bregman's return, and it's not quite what managers were hoping to hear. Prior to the injury, Bregman was slashing .275/.359/.428 with seven home runs, 34 RBI and 37 runs scored over 59 games. While Bregman remains out, Abraham Toro will likely continue to be the primary option at third base for Houston.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
