Alex Cobb Making Solid Progress
3 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Alex Cobb (wrist) was able to throw without any issues on Wednesday. Despite that, manager Joe Maddon has not given a timetable on the veteran righty. Cobb has been sidelined since late July due to wrist inflammation. There's a good chance he'll need at least one rehab start before returning to the Angels rotation. Surprisingly, Cobb was pitching quite well before the injury. He has posted a 3.82 ERA with 84 strikeouts in 77.1 innings with the Angels this season. Fantasy managers should monitor Cobb's status over the next week or so. He could be a decent pickup, assuming he is sitting around on the waiver wire.
