2 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Cobb (back) has been scratched from his start on Friday against the Miami Marlins due to back tightness. John Brebbia will make the start in his absence. Fantasy managers should consider Cobb day-to-day at this point. The 34-year-old right-hander looked better in his last start against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday, but he has allowed 24 earned runs on 44 hits while striking out 47 and walking 12 in 37 2/3 innings over eight starts for the Giants this year. Brebbia has been pretty solid in 21 2/3 relief innings with a 3.32 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, but he's unlikely to provide fantasy managers with any kind of length on Friday against Miami.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
